Never put a sell limit

Yesterday I checked premarket and price increased to about. 50 cents per share

And I put a sell limit price to sell at 50 cents increase per share

So it sold quickly,  but stock later jumped to increase $2 a share,  so I missed $1.5 per share.  Lost about $4000 profit in one day.

The reason being,  I saw one day the price jumped 60 cents then dropped after that,  so I thought 50 cents probably the reasonable sell price.

But it cut off if high increase happens.
